Adam Nadir Mohamed (he/him)
I’m a sixth-year PhD candidate in English at the University of Western Ontario. I received my MA from the Centre for Theory and Criticism (Western), where I compared philosophical conceptions of difference in Deleuze and Derrida. My doctoral research concerns the interdisciplinary nature of poetry and philosophy in British and German Romantic literature. Drawing on Deleuze’s notion of concept creation, as well as Friedrich Schlegel, I examine how literature and philosophy intergenerate each other in the work of Percy Shelley, Blake, and Friedrich Schelling. I am the 2021 recipient of the Sara Marie Jones Scholarship, awarded for outstanding doctoral research, and my MA and PhD research have been supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). Additionally, I am a member of the Theory and Philosophy caucus at NASSR.
